Another Helpful Tip

Hey guys! So, I'm back with another helpful tip. Sometimes, your notes will sound airy. That's because either it needs a tune up or it needs to be cleaned. Here is some things you need to do.

1. Make sure the cork in your flute is in the correct position. Take your cleaning rod and use the other end (not the one you put your cleaning cloth through) and use that to check it.

2. Make sure to clean your flute before and after playing. If you play for more than 30 minutes, make sure to stop and clean then so you don't have too much build up.

3. Take it to your local music store to get it checked out. Sometimes you need a tune up or it could be damaged. If it is, then that's likely the cause of your problem.

A little tip

Hey guys!  A little tip. So my friend, she's a new flute player. Well, we both have the same model except, I've been playing longer. If you are new and you get a new flute, break it in. Play it every day even if only for 10-15 minutes.

A lot of times, people are like, it's not playing right. You have to break it in. I had the same problem. If it's not playing a note right, take it to the shop. It might not be because of the flute though. Make sure you're playing correctly and sitting correctly.

Back to School Time!

Hello, everyone! I am sorry to say that I will not be posting as much because I started school awhile back. I am in my school's Wind Ensemble which is the second highest band. I have the pressure of being one of the two best flute players in my band as well as MPA. So yea.

Just a Few Tips

Alright, well sorry again. I started school and what I have noticed in one of the other flute players is that their notes are a bit breathy. I help my friend who has the same exact problem. What happens is a flutist doesn't tighten their embouchure and they don't focus their air. What can be done is you tighten your embouchure and you focus the air and that should correct the problem.
